DCF offers scholarship to top STPM students

-

KUCHING: The Dayak Cultural Foundation ( DCF) is offering full scholarships to Dayak students who achieved Cumulative Grade Point Average ( CGPA) of 4.0 in their Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia ( STPM) examination or its equivalent last year.

The scholarship is available for those pursuing further studies either locally or overseas.

However, the eligibility covers only selected courses and subjects.

“Additionally, these top students must also possess good characters and strong leadership qualities, as well as being active in extracurricular activities.

“The full terms and conditions of the scholarship will be made known to successful candidates,” said DCF in a press statement yesterday.

Since 2015, the foundation has awarded five full scholarships to Dayak students who achieved CGPA 4.0 in their STPM examinations.

They are currently undergoing degree programmes at local universities. One of them, Rina Rentap, will graduate this year.

Over the past eight months, DCF has also provided financial assistance amounting to RM167,000 to 33 Dayak – all of them are undergoing degree programmes at local universities.

Application forms for the scholarship can be downloaded via www. dayakculturalfoundation.org. my.
