Grab great bargains at ‘Jualan Sentuhan Rakyat’

MIRI: About 30 essential items will be sold at lower prices during the ‘Jualan Sentuhan Rakyat’ (JSR) programme for Sibuti parliamentary constituency this Sunday ( March 25).

It will take place at the parking space near the Rural Transformation Centre ( RTC) in Bekenu.

The sale festival is run by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, in collaboration with Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama), Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority ( LKIM) and Sibuti Parliamentary Service Centre.

According to a spokesperson, the price reduction fair for essential items is a nationwide programme for all parliamentary constituencies.

“Its objective is to ease the people’s burden. The government hopes that the reduced prices would help to ease the people’s high cost of living.”

It is learnt that the programme in Sibuti would be the third for this division, following the one in Miri in January and another in Baram last month.

Sibuti MP Datuk Ahmad Lai Bujang has been invited to officiate at the opening of the programme in Bekenu.

Sibuti Parliamentary Service Centre special officer Nazri Ahmad Lai welcomes all members of the public, especially those from nearby areas, to the special sale fair this Sunday.
