PBB Piasau Jaya to host Women’s Day dinner this Sunday

MIRI: The Piasau Jaya sub-branch of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) is organising a dinner meant to celebrate Women’s Day, which is set to take place the civic centre here this Sunday (March 25) – commencing at 7pm.

According to organising chairwoman Laila Mohamad, Assistant Minister of Law, State-Federal Relations and Project Monitoring Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali is expected to attend the dinner.

“This is part of Piasau Jaya PBB Women’s activities to appreciate women’s role in nation-building as well as their contributions to the party and the community,” said Laila yesterday.

Moreover, she said PBB Piasau Jaya sub-branch chairman Masni Amit would also be present at the dinner to show his support for the Women’s Day celebration.

She listed out dance performances, a fashion competition, ‘poco-poco’ dancing by PBB Women members and karaoke singing as among the activities lined up for the dinner.

“It will be a family affair among the PBB members from the sub-branch main body, women and youth wings.

“This is the first activity to celebrate Women’s Day by PBB Piasau Jaya subbranch and we will do it again next year,” she said.

Meanwhile, Masni lauded the women’s wing for organising the dinner, which would further enhance the rapport between the PBB members here.
