MP: Important to tailor devt projects to people’s needs

KOTA SAMARAHAN: The people’s aspiration should be given priority and respect to ensure that they would participate in and benefit from development projects implemented in their areas.

According to Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang, it is crucial for her to have dialogues with her constituents for her to tailor development projects and programmes that would suit their needs and aspirations.

“Always respect and support the aspirations of the people – it is important for me to ensure that the development in Kota Samarahan parliamentary constituency would have a positive and beneficial impact on the population,” she said in a statement yesterday.

Rubiah also expressed her hope to go down to the ground often to hold dialogues with her constituents.

On Sunday, Rubiah visited Kampung Baru here and spent time with the villagers there. During her visit, Rubiah presented donations to senior citizens, single mothers and less-fortunate individuals in the village.
