Beauty pageant finalists spread ‘Wings of Love’ to sick children

SIBU: The 21 finalists of Miss Grand Sarawak (MGS) 2018 visited children at the Paediatric Ward of Sibu Hospital yesterday under their ‘ Wings of Love’ charity project.

Miss Grand Sarawak 2018 and Bachelor of Malaysia 2018 contest coordinato­r Ricky Nel Frank led them in the visit.

Also present were Miss Grand Sarawak 2017 Fiolla Redup, Miss Grand Malaysia 2017 Sanjeda John, Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak ( SIDS) Sibu branch chairperso­n Angeline Uchie Masing, Sarawak Paperbeads founder Teresa Suli Noel and a co- owner of Sarawak Paperbeads Adina Sana.

The contest is organised by the Bachelor of Malaysia ( BOM) organisati­on in collaborat­ion with Sarawak Paperbeads.

During the visit, Angeline, Fiolla, Sanjeda and the MGS finalists distribute­d hampers to the children.

Angeline also handed over five wheelchair­s to Sibu Hospital director Dr Ngian Hie Ung.

According to Ricky, the ‘ Wings of Love’ charity project is a collaborat­ion between Miss Grand Malaysia and the 1Malaysia Wheelchair Aid Charity Programme ( Program Amal Bantuan Kerusi Roda 1Malaysia).

Meanwhile, he said the finalists for the Bachelor of Malaysia 2018 are from various parts of the country, while the finalists for Miss Grand Sarawak 2018 are representi­ng the 12 divisions of Sarawak.
