Kenanga Group bags six awards, named most innovative participating organisation
KUALA LUMPUR: Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd (Kenanga Group) has clinched six awards and was named the ‘Most Innovative Participating Organisation’ for bringing new ideas and innovations to the marketplace.
In a statement yesterday, Kenanga Group said the awards were given at the annual Bursa Excellence Awards which recognised stellar-performing brokers and market intermediaries in 2017.
Group managing director, Datuk Chay Wai Leong, said among the key contributors to the group’s success was the continuous investments in human capital, technology and collaborations with partners, both locally and overseas.
“We will aspire to continue seeking out new perspectives and opportunities to help shape the future of capital markets in Malaysia.
“The local bourse ended 2017 on a high note, with small- and mid-capitalised stocks gaining popularity on the back of several measures introduced by the regulators to boost the retail equities market,” he said, adding that the market activity was expected to continue its positive trend.
The six awards were Most Innovative Participating Organisation; Best Remisier; Best Trading Participant Equity and Financial Derivatives; Best Overall Derivatives Trading Participant; Best Retail Equities Participating Organisation; and, Best Institutional Derivatives Trading Participant. — Bernama
