Check out 2018 Toyota C-HR at Best Motors Semariang April 7-8
KUCHING: Best Motors Corporation Sdn Bhd, the authorised dealer for Toyota sales and services in Semariang, is inviting the public to view the 2018 Toyota C- HR at its showroom this weekend in conjunction with model’s statewide launch.
Customers who had pre-booked the new model will be given the chance to test drive the new sports utility vehicle ( SUV) at the showroom, today.
“In fact, they had a test drive today ( yesterday) from 2pm to 5pm and will do so again tomorrow (today) from 9am to 5pm in order to get acquainted with the new model.”
“We really want the public to test drive and feel the vehicle’s new technology – the Toyota New Global Architect ( TNGA) technology – which will be the new platform for Toyota. This technology will be used for many of their new models to come,” said a Best Motors spokesman when met at their showroom yesterday.
He said the name ‘C- HR’ for the new model is derived from the words ‘Compact High Rider’ or ‘Cross Hatch Run- about’ which reflects the role of the crossover vehicle.
The C-HR is produced in three factories for different markets around the world. Versions for the European and North American markets are produced in Turkey while a factory in Japan produces models for their own domestic market and some for export markets.
For Asean markets, the production is at Toyota’s Gateway plant in Thailand. The Asean C-HR was unveiled at the Thailand International Motor Expo in November 2017 and is progressively being introduced in regional markets.
The spokesman further revealed that for the Malaysian market, the C-HR starts off with one variant – the 1.8-litre petrol engine.
He added that customers have a choice of five exterior colours: White Pearl CS, Metal Stream Metallic, Blue Metallic, Red Mica and Attitude Black. Vehicles with Blue Metallic and Red Mica finishes also come with a black roof which follows the latest trend in the industry.
“The C-HR model comes with a five-year comprehensive warranty and the price on the road without insurance in Sarawak is RM148,281.20.
“The public is welcome to visit us in Semariang and view this new model and others as well. We also have many activities lined up to make their visit to our showroom this weekend an exciting one,” he added.
Among the activities are signup and prospect registration gifts, while refreshments will also be provided.
The spokesperson said during the two days of the launching, there will be no test driving of the C-HR model. Those who wish to do so can register themselves to perform a test drive the following week.
“However, customers can do a test drive on other Toyota models which are available at our showroom during the weekend of the C-HR launching.
“We will also be introducing to the public the Toyota Avanza X and Toyota Hilux Luxury, which they can find out more about while at the showroom.”
