HLA launches insurance plan with protection for advanced cancer

KUCHING: Hong Leong Assurance (HLA) yesterday announced the launch of HLA Premier Millions, a protection plan with a seamless process of recovery from advanced cancer.

Under the Advanced Cancer Care Rider, policyholders are entitled to an annual limit of US$1 million (about RM 4 million) worth of overseas medical treatment for advanced cancer, with the ability for multiple claims within the same year.

It also features a lifetime limit of US$2 million in overseas medical treatments for advanced cancer, which can be used in the event of relapse of cancer or occurrence of other types of cancer.

The Advanced Cancer Care Rider provides policyholders with a second medical opinion on their cancer diagnosis, after which they will choose from a world-leading medical centre of their choice from the US, Europe, or Australia to seek treatment.

Everything from initial diagnosis to planning for accommodation and travel, including administrative service for follow-up treatment, is handled by an appointed representative.
