New Toyota C-HR, Hilux L Edition comes to Miri
MIRI: The highly anticipated Toyota C-HR has finally arrived in Miri and making its debut at Toyota dealers Rimbunan Hijau Auto Services Sdn Bhd and Boulevard Motor Sdn Bhd, where both dealers are inviting Toyota enthusiasts to have a closer look at this stunning car.
According to branch manager of Boulevard Motor Sdn Bhd King Sze Yeon, the car which was officially launched in Malaysia last March 22, sits on Toyota’s New Global Architecture ( TNGA) platform which is being used for many new Toyota models.
The Toyota C-HR, which looks more like an SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) than a sedan car, is powered by a 1.8- litre dual VVT-i petrol engine with an impressive maximum output of 137 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a sevenspeed CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) with sequential ‘shiftmatic’ technology.
Toyota enthusiasts will notice that the car comes with Traction Control, Hill-Start Assist Control, Vehicle Stability Control, AntiLock Braking System and parking sensors.
As for the rest of the equipment, there is a DVD player with 7-inch touch screen and six- speaker audio system, 4.2-inch multiinformation display, sharp and clear Optitron meters, smartphone connectivity, reverse camera, automatic halogen projector headlights, LED fog lamps, dualzone automatic air- conditioning with climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels and leather seats.
It comes in five exciting colours – White Pearl, Metal Stream Metallic, Blue Metallic (with black roof), Red Mica (with black roof) and Attitude Black Mica.
Pricing of this car is estimated at RM148,281 (exclusive insurance) for private registration.
The other new model, the Hilux L Edition combines legendary toughness with premium style.
The ‘L’ which stands for luxury, offers drivers car-like features and comfort such as leather seats, Optitron meter panel with multi-information display, 6speed automatic transmission with sequential shifter, Active Traction Control (A-TRC), Hillstart Assist Control ( HAC) and Downhill Assist Control ( DAC).
The Hilux L Edition comes in two variants namely the 2.4 litre and the 2.8 litre models which are priced (without insurance) at RM121,590 and RM135,832 respectively.
In connection with the launch of these two new models, both dealerships will have a two- day showroom event this weekend (April 7 and 8) where light refreshments will be served to visitors.
