Kuching to host BEIC 2018 for entrepreneurs, investors
PETALING JAYA: Entrepreneurs, investors and businessmen from Sarawak are invited to join the Borneo Entrepreneur & Investment Convention 2018 ( BEIC 2018) which will be held at KTS Garden, Jalan Datuk Abang Abdul Rahim, Kuching on July 19.
BEIC 2018 which is jointly organised by BEAM and See Hua Group is the first convention of entrepreneurs and investors to be held in Kuching.
The convention empowers entrepreneurs to gain various types of knowledge in the business industry as well as help them in maintaining their business.
BEAM chief executive officer Kenneth Ho said that through this convention, they hope to help entrepreneurs in Sarawak succeed and make their business in 2018 better than in previous years.
“Looking at the current trends, we should use technology in marketing and as entrepreneurs, they should change with the changing technology and environment.
“What I am saying is that everyone can be successful entrepreneurs and be business people, but not all have the knowledge and the many ways to keep their business.
“Therefore, through this BEIC 2018, we will deliver seminars and classes to share opinions and ideas with entrepreneurs on the sale of their products or services and how they should manage their business.
“This seminar is also open to those who want to start online business to learn the techniques and strategies for online business through social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and so on,” he said in a recent interview with the See Hua Group..
For the collaborative pro- gramme with See Hua Group, the four main topics to be discussed will be business, investment, digital technology and how to start a business.
“Each topic will be handled by speakers and entrepreneurs who are successful in these fields.
“The programme will also include courses, training, seminars and workshops to expose the participants to these four areas,” he explained.
BEAM co- founder Wallace Ho, who was present during the interview, said lack of knowledge and marketing strategies are among the factors for failure of entreprises and others who dare not venture because of the ever- changing economic factors.
“Through this convention, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to know strategies and tips to attract and win customers or investors.
Our main focus is to produce more professional Sarawakian entrepreneurs and have a strong business network.
“Frankly, with the right strategy and marketing skills, these entrepreneurs can succeed even in the less stable economy.
“We have to move along with the technology that we can apprehend now to penetrate all these business opportunities,” he said.
Apart from the seminars, various exciting activities such as booth exhibitions will be held in conjunction with BEIC 2018.
The entry fee for early registration is RM99, and RM199 for normal registration.
