SIBU: The redevelopment plan for Sacred Heart School ( SHS) here has come to an end, following the completion of the ‘ Datuk Robert Lau Hoi Chew Complex’.

School Redevelopment Committee chairman Temenggong Dato Vincent Lau Lee Ming, who is also board of management treasurer of SMK Sacred Heart, said the board would need to discuss should the need for further redevelopment arise.

He was asked if there were any plans for a covered basketball court with spectator stand and sand-fill the other side of the sports field for other outdoor sports or running tracks as well as any new plan for the old school

The late Datuk Robert Lau Hoi Chew led the transformation of the school.

Quoting from the school rally, Sacred Heart Old Students Association ( Shosa) president Yong King Sung said the late Datuk Robert Lau had moved forward with courage in ways that were just for the school.

“He was both doing and daring and he was and always will be remembered as a leader,” Yong added.
