Lone Rangers take over as new leaders

KUCHING: Lone Rangers stormed to the top of the MAW 159 & Below Trios League after thumping Borneo Pin Hunters 155 on Thursday night at Megalanes Adventure World, King’s Centre.

They wrested the leader’s position from Air Strike who dropped to third place as a result of their 6-14 defeat at the hands of 77 United Bowlers while Last Menet Bowlers also climbed up to second place after thrashing Silent Killer 14.5- 5.5.

Charrot t Charrot t 1 and Charrott Charrott 2 remained at fourth and fifth positions as both teams played out a 10-10 draw but Anton Keglers dropped to sixth place as they went down 6-14 to Putra J Bowlers.

With three more weeks until the Position Round matches, Lone Rangers, Last Menet Bowlers and Air Strike are expected to fight for the league title as all three teams are separated by on 8.36 Peterson points.

In the meantime, Zulfadli Pauzi of Charrott Charrott 2 is still the bowler to beat for the Individual High Game award with Mazlyana M Zainul in second place, who is also in contention for the Best Ladies award.

Zulfadli also leads the Individual High Series award with Hipni Hip of Last Menet Bowlers behind him.

There were no changes for the Team High Game and Team High Series awards with Charrott Charrott 2 leading both categories and Charrott Charrott 1 trailing them for the Team High Game category and Last Menet Bowlers behind them in the Team High Series category.
