Ensure all voters exercise their democratic rights, PBB Pantai Damai team reminded

-

KUCHING: The members of Pantai Damai branch of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu ( PBB) should encourage not only one another, but also their family members to exercise their rights as voters in this May 9 election.

According to Pantai Damai assemblyman Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, with 16,581 registered members, Pantai Damai is the largest PBB branch in the state.

“Being the largest, we have the task to ensure high voter turnout for our area ( Santubong parliamentary constituency) and ensure that our family members go out to vote as well,” he spoke at the launch of PBB Pantai Damai operations room for Kampung Rampangi at Dewan Kampung Rampangi yesterday.

On assisting voters to and exercise their rights, Dr Abdul Rahman said he would look into providing transportation to assist those working around Kuching, Samarahan and Serian to go back to Santubong to vote.

However, he said this would depend on the budget.

On a separate matter, he said PBB had been on the ground since the end of the 2016 state election, preparing for the parliamentary polls.

“It has been our culture to prepare early, and whoever is nominated for the seat will get our 100 per cent support.

“As PBB and BN ( Barisan Nasional) members, we ought to remember the importance of understanding the party’s vision for the country.”

PBB Pantai Damai deputy chief Drahman Jeladin was also present.
