Awang Tengah to Batang Sadong voters: Make wise choice on polling day

-

SIMUNJAN: Voters in Batang Sadong are reminded to make a wise choice in the coming 14th general election to ensure continuity of development in the country and the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said they must remember that voting for the opposition means choosing backwardness while voting for Barisan Nasional ( BN) means more development.

“However, I am convinced voters in Batang Sadong, especially in Simunjan, can evaluate which one is glass and which one is diamond,” he said.

Awang Tengah, who represented the Chief Minister, said the opposition criticised for their political interests whereas the Barisan Nasional government worked hard for the interests, advancement and comfort of the people.

He reminded that those who actually do the work are not opposition parties but BN leaders including Dato Sri Nancy Shukri who always thinks of how to bring development to Simunjan area.

He said the opposition is only good at condemning the BN government while they themselves do not bring any development to the area.

“Ask ourselves what project has the opposition brought to Simunjan for the benefit of our people,” he said.

Awang Tengah said the state government was aware that much more needed to be done in Sarawak and was fully committed to implement every development project that had been planned and approved in Sarawak.

In view of that, he said the state needed strong support from the BN-led federal government, especially in terms of funding, to implement the projects in Sarawak.

He also called on voters in Batang Sadong to unite in their struggle for more development through BN.
