Voters urged to choose candidate who can fulfil their aspiration­s

SIBU: The people are advised to make wise decision and vote in a candidate who can fulfi ll their aspiration­s in the upcoming 14th General Election.

Sarawak United People’s Party ( SUPP) Lanang parliament­ary potential candidate, Kelvin Kong said they should always bear in mind that they were the ones giving the mandate for any party to form a government which would be for their own benefit.

“The voters must choose the right candidate and government that can bring developmen­t to the people. This is important to ensure continuous developmen­t.”

“Therefore choose a government that we know can perform and help the people,” he said at a meet the people session organised by Barisan Nasional ( BN) Lanang Parliament­ary committee held at Rumah Udam Tuah, Sungai

The voters must choose the right candidate and government that can bring developmen­t to the people. This is important to ensure continuous developmen­t.

Kong,who is also SUPP Dudong deputy chairman urged the people,particular­ly in Lanang to be united and give their fullest support to the BN government.

He said it was imperative for the people to be united and make a wise choice on the right candidate who would represent the voice of the people.

Kong said that SUPP was eager to work hard to wrest back Lanang parliament­ary seat from the opposition in the coming election for the sake of continuous developmen­t in the area.

He said only BN government could bring continuous developmen­t to the people.

In his speech earlier, SUPP Dudong Bumiputera Unit chief Cr Ladong Engkol described Kong as the right candidate to represent BN to contest in Lanang.

“This is because Kong, who hails from Durin (rural area), knows and understand­s the needs and problems of the people in the rural area,” said Ladong.

Thus, he hoped the people, particular­ly in Lanang area would give their fullest support

to the candidate who would represent BN to contest in Lanang parliament­ary constituen­cy.

He hoped the people would make a choice between the present government and the opposition by evaluating the developmen­t that had been implemente­d.

“Unlike the opposition, the government has implemente­d and is implementi­ng various infrastruc­ture developmen­t for the benefit of the people,” Ladong added.
