APM lauded for setting up offices in Kapit, Belaga

KAPIT: The Civil Defence Force (APM) has been lauded for setting up offices here and in Belaga which will serve to enhance the government’s delivery system in the division.

Speaking at the closing of a twoday training course for 200 new APM volunteers here on Sunday, he said he was happy with the overwhelmi­ng response from youths and adults.

“I was informed that there were many more who wanted to register to join APM as volunteers, but that only 200 were selected for the course,” he said, while reminding participan­ts on the need to maintain a high level of discipline and integrity.

The two- day basic training course, organised by Kapit Resident Office in collaborat­ion with APM Kapit, saw Mohd Juhari Mustapha and Romie Remba selected as best male and female participan­ts, respective­ly.

APM state director Mohtar Samat was among those present at the event.
