Team Baram will ensure constituency’s continual development — Gerawat
MARUDI: Team Baram will ensure the Baram parliamentary constituency’s continual development, said Mulu assemblyman Datuk Gerawat Gala.
The team consists of himself, Marudi assemblyman Datu Dr Penguang Manggil, Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau, and incumbent Baram member of parliament Anyi Ngau. Gerawat said as such the people should ensure Anyi successfully defends the seat for the betterment of Baram.
“Give him another term to represent Baram to enable development in this parliamentary constituency to accelerate at a faster pace.
“With this, he and the rest of the team members from Team Baram would then be able to continue to serve wisely for continuous development here,” Gerawat said during a recent Special Affairs Department programme at Rumah Ridap, Kampung Sungai Pasir.
He pointed out future projects for the area such as the Poyut-Lubok Nibong clean water supply project, and the setting up of a collection, processing and packaging centre for agriculture and handicraft products in Long Lama.
“The well-being of the people is always our utmost priority and it is vital for us to foster sound and strong ground support to strengthen cooperation among us,” he added.
Gerawat also presented minor rural project ( MRP) grants of over RM160,000 to eight organisations.
