Fun ride raises RM11,700 for paralysed orphan Fifi

MUKAH: The Mukah Jamboree Fun Ride on Sunday involving 210 riders raised RM11,700 for paralysed road accident victim Fifi Nurlyana Syafina Mohamad Adika.

What you do today is very meaningful and will go a long way. Every turn of the wheel is going towards charity and helping Fifi as well as for those in need in the future.

The eight-year- old lost both her parents and elder brother in the accident at KM5 Mukah-Balingian Road two years ago.

“What you do today is very meaningful and will go a long way. Every turn of the wheel is going towards charity and helping Fifi as well as for those in need in the future,” said Minister of Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family and Childhood Developmen­t Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah.

On Dalat’s developmen­t, she said the people can expect a better waterfront next year thanks to an extension project.

“The project planning and tender have been completed. Hopefully, more activities can be carried out here to enliven and make merrier the atmosphere in this small town,” she said.

The charity fun ride was organised by Mukah Bicycle Club led by president Jamil Othman, and supported by Lea Sports Centre and Lea Centre through the No Fear brand.
