Milo promotes nutritious, balanced meal

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Milo is conducting school visits nationwide in the run up to Ramadan, to educate children on the significance of consuming a nutritious and balanced meal.

A press release yesterday said children will be taught by a professional nutritionist about energy, vitamins and minerals, and how to eat a healthy and balanced diet during Ramadan.

Using the ‘ Malaysian Healthy Plate’ concept and other simple guides, children will also learn in a fun and interactive way how ensure they get the nourishing energy their bodies need to grow up healthy and strong.

“We know how challenging it can be for parents to make sure their children get the nourishing energy they need, especially during the fasting month. That’s why Milo is visiting schools to educate kids about nutrition and the importance of a healthy and balanced diet,” said Milo senior brand manager Nuraina Tajuddin.

“We’d also like to extend this message to parents, so they can lead by example and bersahur together as a family – as we know that many parents skip their sahur meal as they are busy with their children.”

She said by including a cup of Milo in their Sahur, parents and their children can be sure to have enough nourishing energy to last them until Iftar, thanks to Milo’s Activ- Go protomalt – a unique combination of vitamins and minerals, which allow the efficient release of energy throughout the day.

The school talks will be followed by an aerobics session, adding the equallyimportant element of living an active lifestyle to this educational platform.
