KOTA SAMARAHAN: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan has reminded Sarawakians that if they support Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg in fi ghting for the rights of Sarawakians, they should vote for Barisan Nasional ( BN) in this general election (GE14).

He said that would be the best way to get back their rights as stated in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 ( MA63) from the federal government.

He also pointed out that under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Sarawak had developed rapidly unlike when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was prime minister.

Thus, he reminded, Sarawakians ought to be smart and compare the achievements of Najib and Dr Mahathir.

“Dr Mahathir was leader of this country for so long and what he did for Sarawak cannot be compared to what Najib has done for this state. Under Najib’s leadership Sarawak has experienced rapid development and I believe all Sarawakians know what I am talking about,” he added during an event at the Kota Samarahan Civic Centre here yesterday.

As for Samarahan Division, Awang Tengah also pointed out that BN had done so much to develop the area.

At the event, Awang Tengah presented a booklet containing the list of projects done by BN in Sarawak to Stakan assemblyman Dato Sri Mohammad Ali Mahmud.

Others present were Samarahan Land and Survey Department officer Abang Jamallidon Abang Ullie, Samarahan BN candidate Rubiah Wang, Samarahan Resident Brahim Lumpu, senior government officers and local community leaders.
