BN government committed to developing Sarawak – Wan Junaidi

-

KUCHING: The Barisan Nasional ( BN) government, both at state and federal levels, is always committed to developing Sarawak in line with advancements happening globally.

In pointing this out, Santubong BN candidate Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the whole state is not short of development projects.

“Santubong is not left out as we can see development projects constantly kicked off from time to time,” he said.

“As long as the people give the mandate, BN with a proven track record has the formula and knows how to develop Santubong further, more than what we are seeing today,” he elaborated.

Wan Junaidi, who is Natural Resources and Environment Minister, cited the Pan Borneo Highway which passes Tanjong Datu as another game changer for the constituency.

“There will be economic opportunity both for Lundu and Sematan, and it is clear that with development, comes economic activities,” said Wan Junaidi.

He was speaking at the launching of Jambatan Siru Melayu at Sematan yesterday.

The RM5.74-million bridge connects Kampung Siru Melayu to Kampung Sebat Pueh and will enable easier access for villagers once the Pan Borneo Highway is completed.

Tanjong Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu was at the ceremony.
