Jamit calls on voters to give Nanta the same support that they gave him

-

KAPIT: Voters along Sungai Kapit and the nearby areas are advised to turn up in full force on polling day on May 9 to vote for incumbent and BN candidate for Kapit, Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi.

Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat said they should give Nanta the same support they gave him during the 2016 state election.

He was speaking at the ceremony to declare open the Tatai Panglima housing estate at KM 3 of Jalan Bukit Goram.

“Please fi ll the ballot box full of BN votes. I want you this time to give full support to Nanta and not a single vote for the opposition. A vote for the opposition is a waste because we know very well the opposition cannot deliver our needs,” he reminded.

“Two years ago, when Rumah Agan Minggat, just a stone’s throwaway from Tatai Panglima here, was reduced to ashes in an early morning fire, who came to help the fire victims? It was the government elected representatives – Nanta and myself. There was no sign of the opposition.

“Again, during the recent fire at Rumah Lorie, Nanga Ibau, it was government agencies, NGOs and us ( Nanta and myself) who were there to help the victims. There was no sign of opposition DAP making any effort to visit the fire victims,” he said, advising the people to think very carefully about whom to vote.

He said this proved that the opposition only knew how to talk and not real action.

“We vote for BN candidate with the capacity and means to help. He is none other than Nanta,” he added.

On the request for funding by the JKKK of Tatai Panglima to repair houses, access road, kitchen ware and community hall, Jamit promised that he and Nanta would look into the matter after the election.

Tuai Rumah Gupie Maling, Penghulu Madang Jelaini, Penghulu Abang Hamzah Bolhassan, Tuai Rumah Agan Minggat, Tuai Rumah John Ramba, Tuai Rumah Nyuang and PBB Bukit Goram deputy chairman Watson Awan were among the crowd.
