SIBU: The 4th leg of the Swan City Cup Snooker Championship has attracted 36 competitors including seven non- Chinese players who are making their debut.

The championship was cued off at Executive 3 Snooker Centre Tuesday night.

Sibu Swan City Recreation Club ( SSCRC) chairman Mark Yeo, who is also the event organiser, said the participation of so many non- Chinese players spices up the championship.

The competition will be played over a period of two weeks.

Of the 36 players, 11 are from Executive 3, 12 from Cueball International, nine from Southern Point and four from Centre Point.

For the record, Sibu’s Isda Lau won the 1st leg after edging 2016 Sarawak Closed champion Ng Hong Man 3-2 in the five-match thriller.
