Opposition has no proper direction, claims Dr Rundi

SIBU: The opposition seem to have no proper direction in their election campaign other than tarnishing the image of the government through social media, said Minister of Utilities Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom.

He said the opposition is also inclined to instigating the people to dislike the BN government.

“Remain alert to make sure that you won’t be hoodwinked by them,” he advised voters, urging them against entertaining such tactic of poisoning the mind of the people.

Dr Rundi said the opposition should be focusing on how to make people’s lives better.

“Their goal this 14th General Election is to topple the BN government,” he said when officiating at a meet-the-people session at Rumah Monica Gelima, Sungai Durin recently.

Among the 500 attendees were State BN secretary- general and Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi, BNSUPP candidate for Lanang Kelvin Kong, political secretaries to the chief minister Thomas Romeo Christopher Tegong and Maurice Giri, Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat, TR Monica and former Penghulu Philip Kayak.

Calling on voters in Lanang to support BN, Dr Rundi said the BNSUPP candidate is committed to serving the rakyat.

“He is down to earth. He doesn’t make empty promises,” Dr Rundi said of Kelvin.
