Look at Permata’s success before finding fault — Rosmah

-

PEKAN: The Prime Minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, as the patron of the Permata Negara ( Permata) programme, has urged the opposition who questioned the initiatives taken by the government to come and see for themselves the results of the programme.

She said the opposition only knew how to fi nd fault without checking the programme first, especially during session.

“They say Permata was throwing money but look at the results. We have children whose intellectual levels are high for example in the study of the Quran and Sunnah via Permata Insan.

“Because of my concern for the future of our children, I got child experts to work with me and put forward the Permata programme the Parliamentary so that when they grow up they will become useful individuals and serve the country,” she said at the ‘Permata On Wheels Pekan’ programme at the RTC Square in Pekan, Kuala Pahang, here yesterday, Rosmah hoped the public would not be swayed by the slanders and accusations from the opposition directed at Permata.

She also urged the public to continue supporting the Barisan Nasional ( BN) so that more early childhood education centres, including Permata could be established.

In addition, she said an early childhood education centre under Permata would be established in Kuala Pahang, here, if the BN was again given the mandate in the 14th General Election (GE14) on Wednesday.

The ‘Permata On Wheels Pekan’ programme held yesterday aims to provide exposure to rural children by making them participate in learning sessions and cocurriculum activities according to the Permata module.

The programme, which was a brainchild of Rosmah’s, also provides exposure and awareness to parents about the importance of early childhood education under the age of four. — Bernama
