Wong: Not logical to accept state BN into PH

-

SIBU: State DAP deputy chairman David Wong says it is not logical to acccept state Barisan Nasional (BN) to join Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Accepting them would be going against the wishes of the PH supporters, especially when they had fought so hard to win 10 seats in the just concluded general election.

Wong was referring to the report quoting a source that could not confirm whether the so-called meeting between Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed and state BN did occur or not.

Wong is joining the chorus of calls from state PH chairman Chong Chieng Jen who said the state PH could not and would not accept state BN parties, especially PBB, into its fold.

“We have fought so hard against the corrupt regime and we want to see these leaders being held accountable for their past misdeeds,” he told a press conference yesterday afternoon.

Wong said he had received lots of messages from PH supporters, asking him what their stand was on the matter.

“I have assured them that state PH will not accept BN parties into our fold as this is totally against our ideals and principles,” he added.

Wong said Sarawak PH had its own way of handling the issue and he hoped that their supporters would leave the matter to the leaders.
