Ahmad, Mazri triumph in Megalanes Skin’s finals
KUCHING: Ahmad Nazaruddin fought off stiff challenges from 11 other fi nalists to clinched the 169 & Below Megalanes Skin’s Final title at Megalanes Adventure World, King’s Centre on Thursday night.
Ahmad posted a total of 1,537 pins to finish 52 pins ahead of second-placed Marzainah Jayamara.
Awang Zamri scored 1,430 pins for the third spot, followed by Abdul Rahman Mohamad (1,418), veteran bowler Lim Eng Huat (1,403) in fourth and fifth placings respectively.
The sixth to 11th finishers were Glen Robin (1,345), Mohd Rezal (1,321), Alexander Tow (1,287), Zufadli Sukardi (1,155), Jopen Abut (1,152) and Mohd Izam (1,100) while Sazali Yunus had to discontinue after the third game.
A night earlier and the same venue, Mazri Selini captured the 149 & Below Megalanes Skin’s Final after knocking down a total of 1,527 pins over nine Games.
Mazri also posted the highest game of the night when he scored 211 pins in the fifth game.
Ruhana Bujang managed 1,463 pins for second place and coming in third was Mohd Azril who amassed a total of 1,319 pins, followed by youngster Desmond Law in fourth place with 1,287 pins. A further nine pins behind Desmond was Hamden Harbi who accumulated while Roslan Awang managed sixth place finish with 1,255 pins.
Mohd Khairuddin grabbed seventh place with his total of 1,251 pins and Farham Hakim came in eighth with 1, 226 pins.
Bernard Lai (1,189) and Awang Zulfikri (1,156) completed their challenge in ninth and 10th positions respectively.
