The EOYS aims to recognise the best in business in Sarawak, specifically the prime movers that drive the State’s path towards economic growth and high income State 2030; recognise the success of up and coming entrepreneurs, who through their ingenuity, ideas, resourcefulness, commitment and hard work, have built their businesses which contributed to the growth of our State’s economy; and encourage the growth of small and medium scale industries in Sarawak.

The categories include Emerging Entrepreneur ( business is between two to five years old or entrepreneur is aged 35 or under at the time of close of nomination), Master Entrepreneur (maintained management excellence over a sustained period, business founded more than five years ago) and Outstanding Entrepreneur (Outside Sarawak) whereby entrepreneurs are running a successful business in Malaysia or overseas.

The EOYS provides opportunities for networking and accessing valuable media coverage, raising personal and company profile.

For instance, the EOYS Adjudicating Committee has nominated recipients of the EOYS Awards to represent Sarawak state at the Malaysia Ernst & Young EOY Awards.

The nominated State representative has access to a range of events to help the nominee’s company achieve its potential as well as the opportunity to join a group of illustrious alumni.

Nominations for the EOYS can be submitted to SCCI through business associations or individuals, no later than August 30, 2018. This awards program will be presented at the forthcoming SCCI 67th annual dinner to be held in November 2018.
