Welfare of Sarawakians still state govt’s priority — DCM
LIMBANG: The state government will continue to put the welfare of Sarawakians as the priority on its agenda, even with the country being under Pakatan Harapan ( PH) rule.
In giving this assurance, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan says all development policies and initiatives that have been announced would proceed as planned.
“The planned projects and developments, which were approved under ( state) elected representatives and ministries, would continue,” he spoke at the presentation of Hari Raya assistance from Limbang District Islamic Welfare Trust Board ( Lakil) to local mosque and surau officials, single mothers and orphans at the civic centre here yesterday.
Limbang MP Hasbi Habibollah, Assistant Minister of Agriculture Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail who is Bukit Kota assemblyman, Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Palu Gumbang, Limbang Resident Ahmad Denney Ahmad Fauzi, Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS) Limbang director Junidi Lamat and Lakil treasurer Mahmud Amit witnessed the ceremony.

assured Sarawakians that the present state government would strive to become ‘an opposition government with good governance and dignity’.
“Apart from development as well as meeting the needs and welfare of the people, Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg strives to uphold the initiatives to reclaim the rights of Sarawak and Sarawakians.
“In this regard, the federal government also holds the responsibility to help the people, including Sarawakians, based on the federal constitution,” he said.
Awang Tengah led the presentation of Lakil assistance to 166 single mothers, 82 orphans and 210 mosque and surau officials from across this district.
