Harvey Norman donates RM30k to Food Aid Foundation

PETALING JAYA: Harvey Norman Malaysia is giving back to the community by donating RM30,000 to Food Aid Foundation to support and help those in need.

Eddy Ng lead general manager of Harvey Norman Malaysia’s presented the cheque to founder of Food Aid Foundation Chee Yew Guan at Harvey Norman’s headquarters in Kelana Jaya.

“Giving back and helping the communities is one of our core values. We look at ways to improve the quality of lives of the people aroundusandcontributeindirectly to help people progress.”

“At the same time, we ensure our employees are well taken care of as this also aids the development of local communities.” said Ng through their press statement.

“We are grateful to Harvey Norman Malaysia for their continuous support in our efforts to provide care to the needy.

“This contribution will help us to reach out to more needy people”, said Chee upon receiving the donation.

Corporate social responsibility has always been an integral part of Harvey Norman Malaysia. The company has also donated mattresses to needy homes in the central region of the peninsula during the last International Bedding Fair.

With the recent expansion plan, Harvey Norman is now opened at Kuching and will be expanding to Johor Bahru soon. With expansion, Harvey Norman will be looking at more focused CSR initiatives at new regions as well.
