Hope Place embarks on pilot charity project in Sri Aman

KUCHING: Hope Place Kuching is embarking on a charity project at its new Sri Aman station, which covers Engkilili, Lubok Antu and Betong areas.

The setting-up is the result of the requests from many needy families in longhouses across Sri Aman Division. In this regard, Hope Place recently despatched a team to Sri Aman to interview several families to ensure that they met the eligibility for the welfare assistance. As a result, 28 families had been identified as having met the criteria for the aid. Moreover, the area was ‘adopted’ by non-governmental organisation (NGO) for the oneyear project.
