UPP Pujut to continue with its mobile community service

-

MIRI: United People’s Party ( UPP) Pujut branch is committed to carry on with its mobile community service via the Mobile Action Team ( M.A.T) programme.

Its chairman Bruce Chai said such service is needed to enable the party branch to obtain first-hand feedback from the people on the ground.

“We will continue with our community service programme where we not only serve as a platform to address the people’s problems but also to disseminate accurate information on the government’s latest development programmes,” he stated to The Borneo Post yesterday when asked on the party branch’s latest M. A.T programme at Old Folks Street in Jalan Persiaran Kabor.

During the M. A.T programme, Chai said the party branch had registered various concerns from senior citizens who wanted to know whether medical and other forms of welfare assistance that they had enjoyed before would be continued by the new Pakatan Harapan ( PH) federal government.

“Those (senior citizens) who came to us during our M. A.T programme expressed their concerns on this matter. I believe that the new federal government has their own plan and of course, they will place the welfare of the needy people as top priority and concern.”

In view of that, he strongly feels that it is important for the government to continue to update the people with accurate information on any programme that they intend to carry out for the people.
