- By Shalina R

PENAMPANG: Police received information that Tan Sri Musa Aman will return to Sabah at an undetermined time, revealed Sabah police chief (CP) Datuk Ramli Din.

The Sabah CP confirmed no arrest warrant has been issued for Musa as the latter had only been called in to record a statement.

“We just wait here and ask him to come here to record the statement. That’s all,” he told the press when met after the Kaamatan closing ceremony at Hongkod Koisaan here yesterday.

“No, no, no. Not that serious, man,” he suppressed a laugh when asked whether the police would be getting the help of International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) to locate Musa.

“He is believed to not be in the state of Sabah. He is believed to not be in KK ( Kota Kinabalu),” he added.

Ramli said Musa had not been in Sabah since May 14 and reiterated that the latter had only been called in to record his statement.

“We cannot issue an arrest warrant yet at this moment,” said the Sabah CP.

“No. At this moment we need to record a statement first,” he responded when asked how long could the police wait before further action could be taken.

“No. We can wait,” said Ramli when the press asked about the police’s next move should Musa fail to turn up and record the statement.

He added, the police “will see how” the situation develops and confirmed that various channels had been used to contact Musa.

“We try to contact him through (a) few channels and ask him to come back to record a statement,” he revealed.

“They said he will come back. That’s it,” said Ramli, adding that he had “no idea” when Musa would return to Sabah.
