Lower costs, price reductions at MR DIY from today

-

KUCHING: Starting today, MR DIY is reducing Goods and Services Tax (GST) charges to zero per cent at all their stores across Malaysia while giving an additional six per cent discount for all items for six days until June 6 in celebration of the zero-rated GST.

This decision, according to a publicity release yesterday, was in line with the new policy from the government which was announced recently. The new zero-rated GST would mean lower costs and price reductions for all products.

In 2015, MR DIY launched a campaign announcing that they were absorbing the GST with the “Biar Kami Rugi, Anda Puas Hati” campaign.

Eventually it turned out to become one of the most successful campaigns in 2015 as it sent a bold and clear message to inform the public that MR DIY was continuously committed to keep prices low while providing value for money products and services despite the economic changes.

To spice things up, MR DIY has introduced an additional six per cent price discount on all items across all stores nationwide.

With the slogan ‘Celebration for 0% GST’, it demonstrated MR DIY’s commitment to provide more than the usual as long as customers were satisfied.

This offer covers the widest range of products of more than 20,000 types, excluding PWP ( purchase with purchase), clearance and discounted items under one sale period.

This is definitely the best time for people to shop especially the Muslim community as Hari Raya Aidilfitri is just around the corner.

MR DIY head of marketing Andy Chin said that the offer is the company’s gesture of support to the new policy and a step further in reducing the burden of Malaysians.

“With the 0% GST and the additional discount, this is the largest storewide sale MR DIY has ever run so far. MR DIY is always striving to offer low prices to all our customers. The new tagline from MR DIY is proof of the commitment from the company to always offer the best price to ensure customer satisfaction,” he added.
