Drugs worth RM7,620 seized from three jobless suspects

LIMBANG: Three unemployed men were arrested for possession of a total of 75.79 grammes of banned drugs worth RM7,620 during two separate raids here on Wednesday.

Limbang District Police Chief, Sup e r i nt endent Mohd Bukhori Saffai, said the 24-year- old suspect from Batu Satu, Kubong Road and his 20-year- old accomplish from RPR Rangau were detained during a raid at a house at Kubong Road.

He said during the raid police found a safe containing 85 ecstasy pills, 32 packets of ketamine and 69 eramin 5 pills, hidden in a wardrobe.

“The drugs seized included 85 ecstasy pills weighing 26.89 grams worth RM2,500, 32 packets of ketamine weighing 22.75 grams (worth RM3,000) and 69 eramin 5 pills weighing 19.18 grams worth RM1,100,” he said yesterday.

Mohd Bukhori said both suspects were also tested positive of Methamphet­amine and Amphethami­ne.

He said the third suspect, 19 from Cempaka Timur Road was detained during a separate operation conducted at 11.25am, where he allegedly hid 12 ecstasy pills also in a wardrobe in a house.

Mohd Bukhori said the ecstasy pills weighing 6.97 grams, worth RM720 seized from the suspect – who was however negative of drugs.

All the suspects would be remanded today and investigat­ed under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
