“As a responsible business entity and in keeping with the teaching of Islam and in conjunction with Ramadan, we have been giving back to the community for five years now.

“Hopefully it would bring joy to the less- fortunate Muslims celebrating the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri,” said Asna.

“The number of recipients has increased over the years and we give food stuff including 5kg rice, sugar, noodles, dates and snacks worth about RM80 to each recipient.

“We thank you for your support over the past 30 years and by the grace of Allah, we could expand to Permyjaya (two branches), Jalan Pelita, Jalan Parry and here in Mosjaya,” added Asna.

He said the donation was one of their annual community projects as they have also donated to Chinese Education Fund Miri.

Meanwhile Abu Nawas, in thanking Asna for the donation, said the recipients selected included the needy, single parents and individuals with special needs.
