KUCHING: Emart Batu Kawa is in the midst of setting up “Unity Street” to serve a wide variety of food and beverages in one location.

Emart Property ( Batu Kawa) senior manager Simon Lee said the concept is to provide moderately priced niche food.

“We aim to make this the onestop location for Chinese, Dayak, Malay or Indonesian food,” said Lee in a press conference yesterday.

He said the whole area consists of 20 ground floor units and 20 first floor units. Currently, six units on the ground floor and 20 units on the first floor are still vacant.

“Emart is inviting those interested to send in their applications and enjoy one year free rent,” said Lee adding that the deadline for the application is June 30.

He added that Emart screens all applications to ensure tenants meet their criteria of providing affordable and attractive menu.

Among the amenities are ample parking space and the 24-hour shops such as Emart supermarket and other convenient stores.

“Currently, a tenant Premier Food Republic is the first 24-hour coffee shop in this area with 26 food stalls, four of which operate round the clock. They are looking for a breakfast and Malay food stall,” said Lee.

Premier Food Republic which opened on June 7 is serving complimentary cordial drinks until June 13.
