KUCHING: Malaysia’s first Hyatt House under Hyatt Hotels Corporation Bhd’s (Hyatt) ‘modern essentials’ brand in Kuala Lumpur is set to open its doors in the third quarter of the year and will target the growing extended stay market in KL.

The hotel named Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur Mont’Kiara is part of UEM Sunrise Bhd’s Arcoris Mont’Kiara development and will feature a total of 298 guestrooms, restaurants, 3,100 sq ft of meeting space, a fitness centre and a sky pool.

The hotel’s residentialstyle suits geared specifically for extended stay guests are equipped with fully-equipped studios and spacious living quarters.

According to Bennett Peter, the newly-y appointedpp ggeneral manager of Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur Mont’Kiara, the extended stay market in KL is set grow due to changing preferences of different traveller segments. In particular, Peter noted that Hyatt’s studies have shown that the frequent traveller segment prefer to remain connected to their usual routines without interruptions. “(They) appreciate comforts that are closer to how they live and value neighbourhoods that make them feel welcome to the community,” he explained. In response to this changing preference in the frequent traveller’s segment, Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur Mont’Kiara has been developed to cater towards residents who need more than just a room with more flexibility to do what they want. With the familiar touches of home, residents will be able to find all the elements they need to maintain their routines with ease. These comforts range from the spacious studios and suites, comfy sofa- bed, HDTV with wide access of international channels, Complimentary Morning Spread with Omelette Bar, and round-the-clock assistance from skilfully and multi-tasker House Host.

Besides just the frequent traveller segment, the new hotel is also poised to be an ideal base for leisure travellers and families who are looking to keep their real- life routines rolling while on the road.

Armed with a strategic location in the heart of Mont’Kiara, a wide range of facilities and services, and the belief that ‘being away from home doesn’t mean giving up the life you live and enjoy’, Hyatt is confident that the its new hotel will be attractive to both upper-class Malaysians and the expatriate community.

“We believe that Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur Mont’Kiara is in the right position to cater to this typical need of modern day travellers and will be well-positioned in the growing extended stay market in the Kuala Lumpur area.

“Having worked with some of the leading names in the hospitality industry and managing dif ferent responsibilities, I am excited to take up my new role as general manager of Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur Mont’Kiara.
