Huruhara steal limelight, Lucky lift MAW 185 title

KUCHING: Lucky won the Megalanes Adventure World ( MAW) 185 & Below Foursome League after they outbowled 77 United Bowlers 13-7 last Saturday night.

The team comprising Datin Rakiah Ali, Muhd Idarie, Muhd Syazwan Sajeli, Alvin Andrew, Mohd Amran, Halimah Arrifin and Kevin Yeo completed their campaign with 285.08 Peterson points. 77 United Bowlers were runners-up with 267.36 points.

PBA Ace remained in third place despite suffering a 7.5-12.5 defeat at the hands of Pelita Bolts.

However, al l eyes were on Huruhara Bowler as they climbed from seventh position to fourth in the league following their clean sweep 20- 0 win against Putra J Bowlers.

Meanwhile, Charrott Charrott also improved their league position from sixth to fifth after they registered a 14- 6 win over RVS.

Pelita Bolts had to be contented in sixth place despite their triumph against PBA Ace, with RVS and Putra J Bowlers finishing in seventh and eighth positions respective­ly.

Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz Kadri of Charrott Charrott saved the best for last as he surpassed Alvin Andrew of Lucky for the Individual High Game award.

The Individual High Series award saw no changes as Alvin Andrew of Lucky and Adam Aman of PBA Ace finished first and second respective­ly.

PBA Ace held on to win the Team High Game category with 77 United Bowlers behind them in second place.

Lucky grabbed further honours when they won the Team High Series category ahead of 77 United Bowlers.

Datin Rakiah Ali of Lucky also won the Best Ladies Award with her total of 611 pins posted in the sixth week.
