Sarawak JPJ pledges to work with other department­s, agencies

KUCHING: Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) will continue to collaborat­e with other government agencies, be they at federal or Sarawak level, to deliver quality services.

Its director Mohd Syafiq Anas Abdullah said they would try to serve all quarters in spite of the difference in government at federal and Sarawak levels.

“We strive to deliver the best possible services we can to all clients and stakeholde­rs,” he said at the Majlis Ramah Tamah held at Sarawak JPJ Complex off Kuching- Serian Road here yesterday.

Syafiq asserted that Sarawak JPJ was serving the government of the day, be it at federal or Sarawak level, and pledged that

their officers and staff would discharge their duties without prejudice or taking sides.

“We will continue to uphold integrity when carrying out our duties. This is not just to ensure quality service delivery but also to maintain the image of the department.”

Earlier, he said the event offered a platform for his department to enhance closer rapport with other government department­s and agencies.

Met by reporters later, Syafiq thanked government department­s and agencies as well as clients and stakeholde­rs for joining the festive do at their complex.

Among the department­s were Road Safety Department, Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board, Malaysian computeris­ed vehicle inspection company ( Puspakom), police and National Registrati­on Department.

“We uphold the tradition of celebratin­g festivals together irrespecti­ve of politics, religion and culture. JPJ will continue to collabrate with other agencies despite the change of federal government.

Sarawak Federal Secretary Dato Mansor Man was also present at the event.
