Health Clinic tops list of reps’ developmen­t projects

JULAU: A new Health Clinic for Julau has been listed as priority project for both Meluan assemblyma­n Rolland Duat and Julau member of Parliament Larry Sng in their developmen­t plan for the constituen­cy.

They have assured their constituen­ts that they would bring up the matter for considerat­ion of both Sarawak and the federal government­s.

The two elected representa­tives gave the assurance during a Ngiling tikai and Aidilfitri dinner organised by Sarawak Medical Club, Julau branch at the community hall here recently.

Rolland said that he had raised the matter during the last state assembly meeting and would revisit it during the next meeting to find out its status.

Larry who was recently elected as Julau MP, on the other hand, said that the proposed new clinic would be in his first request list for developmen­t projects for Julau including a similar clinic in Pakan.

On the gathering, both Rolland and Larry described it as an excellent platform to foster unity and harmony among the people of diverse background.

As a gesture of support, they each contribute­d RM5,000 to the club.

Among those present were Julau District officer Khalid Andong, Club chairman Muhammad Shafiq Russ Abdullah, Medical officer Dr. William Taang, Julau District Police Chief DSP Bidol Noyeng and community leader pemanca Janggu Banyang.
