Miss BDCF title up for grabs

SIBU: Dayak single ladies aged between 18 and 30 are encouraged to enter a beauty pageant to vie for the Miss Borneo Dayak Cultural Festival ( BDCF) 2018 title.

The contest, which is open to Dayak ladies who are at least five feet two inches tall, will be staged from July 23 to 25 at Sibu Town Square.

Spokeswoma­n for the organising committee Senorita Salleh said the preliminar­y round on July 23 will shortlist 10 contestant­s for the second round of the competitio­n to be held the following day.

“The final is on July 25. All three rounds of the contest will be held at BDCF stage starting at 9pm,” she added.

She said contestant­s are required to wear costume/attire in accordance with the theme of the contest, while not disclosing the theme.

The champion will take home RM2,000 while the first runnerup will bag RM1,500 and second runner-up, RM1,000.

The fourth place winner will walk away with RM350 while the fifth place winner gets RM300.

Five other finalists will each get RM200 consolatio­n prize.

Judging will be based on beauty (70 per cent), attire ( 20 per cent) and physique/self confidence (10 per cent).

Entry fee is RM30, and the closing date is July 14 by 1pm.
