Machinery from many brands on display at MIMF 2018

KUCHING: The 29th Malaysia Internatio­nal Machinery Fair ( MIMF) will be held at Putra World Trade Center ( PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur on July 19 – 22.

Organised once again by ES Internatio­nal Event Management Sdn Bhd, the fair comprises four exhibition­s – Plastic, Mould & Tools ( M’SIA PLAS); Sign & LED/ LED – Light, Packaging and Labelling; Food Processing Machinery and Equipment (M’SIA – PACK & FOOD PRO); and Bakery Malaysia.

According to ES Event Management managing director Dato Chong Chong Tik, the MIMF has now reached its 29th year – thanks to the strong request from the business community.

Based on the feedback received from the business community, there is new hope for the economy to pick up again and thus, machinery is needed to increase production and productivi­ty.

that MIMF 2018 would have 820 booths, of which more than 70 per cent are set up by companies from overseas, mostly from China – others are from Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Chong also mentioned that local machinery agents representi­ng German, Italian and Swiss brands would also set up booths there.

“Some 400 of these booths will be for the ‘M’SIA – PACK & FOOD PRO’ exhibition,” he added.

Kuching- born Chong also encouraged Sarawak companies to come to the MIMF to view the machinery range, which holds the potential to improve their business.

He said Sarawak companies could enjoy subsided rates should they choose to come to the event
