Complete jobs according to specs, contractors urged
BAU: Serembu assemblyman Miro Simuh has reminded contractors working on development projects in the constituency to complete the jobs given to them according to schedule and specifications.
He said he does not want to hear constituents complaining about delays or poor quality of the projects in Serembu.
He pointed out that the contractors must be aware of the trust given by the government for them to undertake such projects meant for the greater convenience and benefit of the people.

“Don’t just think of profit. The contractors must also think about the long term benefits and not just short term gain. We do not want to see projects which are not built wholeheartedly,” he said when met yesterday.
As such, he hoped contractors would comply with what were agreed in the contract and do not take things lightly.
“What we do not want is that when the contractor is not serious in doing the job, the one that is getting the bad name is the government because the people are not getting the benefit from the project,” he added.
