KAPIT: Villagers at Kampung Sesawa here were overjoyed when the road to their village from Jalan Bukit Goram, the main road, was finally cemented.

To many of them, this brought a new chapter to their life as they now could travel on the road safely and comfortably.

Previously the low-lying areas of that stretch of road used to be filled with water, causing inconvenience to motorists and other road users.

Recently, during his walkabout along Jalan Bukit Goram, Jamit came across many potholes along the road to the village, after which he immediately directed the contractor to cement the road.

On his part, the contractor cleared the road of mud and other debris and used BRC wire mess to seal the road with cement for stronger durability.

When contacted, Tuai Rumah Susie Runggom expressed her thanks to Jamit for taking care of their welfare.

According to her, she did not inform Jamit about the bad condition of the road but Jamit took his own initiative to check on the road.

“Earlier the road wasn’t cemented and when heavy rain came, water filled the potholes causing inconvenience to kampung folks.

“Now it is done. I, on behalf of the kampung folks, wish to say a big thank you to Jamit,” she said.

There are some forty doors at Kampung Sesawa, situated at KM5, Jalan Bukit Goram.
