Kindergarten holds annual mini sports carnival

KAPIT: The Kapit Chung Hua Kindergarten held its annual mini sports carnival over the weekend.

Some 170 pupils, who were divided into four teams, took part in the 13 games held.

Among the games were pingpong relay, egg relay, clip the cloth, balancing on empty cans, three-legged race, three- a- side football, and filling a bottle.

In his brief remarks, management board chairman Sii Bang Ee said the kindergarten tries to provide a balanced education in both academics and co-curricular activities.

“We want the children to master the basics of 3R (reading, writing, and mathematics) and at the same time be physically fit through active involvement in outdoor activities,” he said.

Sii also praised the children’s parents for turning up to give them moral support.
