Body of missing villager found
KUCHING: A body of a villager who went missing after falling into the Skrang river on Wednesday was recovered by a search party yesterday.
The deceased, 27-year- old Faizal Ibrahim, was located around noon by Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel, about 120 metres downstream from where he had fallen.
Based on a police report lodged, Faizal and a group of workers were sawing and transferring wood near Rumah Mujan when he fell into the river.
When he did not surface, his coworkers jumped into the water but were unable to locate him.
The body was handed to the police for further action.
