CGC President/CEO named Sustainability Leader of the Year
KUALA LUMPUR: Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Bhd (CGC) president and chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Zamree Mohd Ishak has been named as the “Sustainability Leader of the Year” at the Karlsruhe Sustainable Finance Awards.
CGC in a statement yesterday said the award honoured financial institutions, related organisations and Presidents/CEOs with significant contributions to the field of sustainable financing.
“The panel of judges recognised Mohd Zamree for his leadership in driving the business performance of CGC through creating social and environmental value by benchmarking overall cost efficiency, advancement in technology, as well as sustainability of pricing model, talent management and capital management,” it said.
The Award was organised by the European Organisation for Sustainable Development (EOSD), the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) and the Association of African Development Finance Institutions ( AADFI) in cooperation with the City of Karlsruhe, Germany.
Zamree assumed his current position in CGC on Jan 1, 2015 and under his helm, the corporate identity and business of CGC have been transformed in line with its aspiration “To Be the Household Name for SMEs by 2020”. — Bernama
