Fajar International College opens registration for August 2018 intake

-

MIRI: This year’s August intake at Fajar International College ( FIC) is now open and the institution is calling holders of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia ( SPM) to apply for their programmes of choice.

The upcoming intake will commence this Aug 13.

The Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health ( DipOSH) at FIC has just achieved the ‘ FiveStar – Excellent’ rating under the ‘ 2016/2017 MyQuest Cluster Based Category- Services’ ratings system.

It is the only diploma programme of its kind approved by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health ( DOSH), and has also secured the accreditation and official recognition from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, United Kingdom (IOSH-UK).

“This confirms that the DipOSH offered by FIC is of international standard, in that the course’s content has been duly assessed in compliance with the global academic requirements on OSH.

“It is now recognised by DOSH Malaysia as a qualification for application of the ‘ Yellow Book’ – the mandatory document for those who intend to work as safety supervisors at construction sites,” said FIC in a statement.

Meanwhile, the college’s Diploma in Accountancy ( DIA) is by far, the only programme of its kind that has gained full accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency ( MQA) and at the same time, it is uniquely designed so that students can obtain two different qualifications or academic awards upon completion of studies – the DIA itself, and also the Certified Technician Accounting (CAT) accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK.

FIC’s Diploma in Business Studies ( DBS) is fully accredited by MQA as well.

It is a well-rounded programme that provides and covers the fundamental aspects of business and management — from accounting, operations, sales and marketing to human resources.

FIC’s DBS students will gain sufficient skills and knowledge required to face the challenges, either in the employment market or upon furthering their studies.

For school-leavers who may not meet the minimum entry requirements of the DBS, FIC also provides its other academic programme, the Certificate in Business Studies (CBS).

The college’s Diploma in Human Resources Management also has full MQA accreditation.

This programme aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed in carrying out functions related to human resources like staffing needs, recruitment, training, dealing with performance issues, direction for all staff, and ensuring both the personnel and the management practice conformity to local and international regulations.
