Met Galleria is latest addition to KL Metropolis

KUALA LUMPUR: Met Galleria, a two- storey commercial space, will the latest addition to Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd’s KL Metropolis developmen­t.

Executive director and chief operating officer Datuk Idzham Mohd Hashim said the RM160 million two- storey upmarket space would be a top choice for retailers.

“Met Galleria aims to cater to the 350,000 existing residents in the ( surroundin­g) area, as well as owners of upcoming residentia­l developmen­ts (within KL Metropolis ), Malaysia Internatio­nal Trade and Exhibition Centre visitors and workers from nearby offices,” he told reporters after unveiling the Met Galleria to stakeholde­rs yesterday.

To date, 15 per cent of the developmen­t has been built and with the remainder to be completed by the first quarter of 2021.

Forty per cent of the spaces in Met Galleria would be dedicated for food and beverage, 20 per cent for retail concept stores and the remaining would be for anchor tenants, services and pop- up stores.

Besides Met Galleria, other developmen­ts in KL Metropolis that are expected to be completed by 2021 include the MET corporate office towers with a gross developmen­t value ( GDV) of RM650 million, MET 1 Residents and Arte Mont Kiara.

The RM20 billion GDV KL Metropolis developmen­t encompasse­d 30.55 hectares of land and is the main developmen­t focus for Naza TTDI.

“We built to cater the existing demands and focus on attracting the existing catchment,” he added.
